Puppy Raisers In-Person
Come visit some puppies and learn about a great opportunity to participate in puppy fostering! Learn how Labradors and Golden Retrievers trained in Northwestern Connecticut help keep clients mobile, safe, and independent. ECAD (Educated Canines Assisting with Disabilities) is non-profit organization in Winchester that provides hundreds of hours of training to dogs that assist children and adults who need help with mobility, PTSD, autism, and a wide range of medical issues. During this presentation, you'll learn how ECAD dogs are trained to wear a balance harness, retrieve medical bags, open automatic doors, and many more assistive and safety services. And you'll meet some of our service dogs in training and learn how you get get involved in our mission.
